At Starbeck School we aim to provide our children with memorable and powerful learning experiences and promote an ethos of self-belief, respect, resilience and high expectations for ourselves and others in everything we learn and achieve.
As an enhanced mainstream school for social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), we strive to provide an inclusive, caring and supportive environment in which pupils are valued equally and are given opportunities to develop and to reach aspirational targets

"Year 3/4 coaching with Rachel Hildreth from Yorkshire Cricket Board: As part of our development of sporting opportunities at Starbeck School, each class in Yr 3 & 4 had a wonderful morning learning the basic skills of throwing and catching a ball, holding a cricket bat and hitting the ball. We split into teams and took turns to bat and to field. The children had to use their mathematical skills to keep score of their teams runs. Each team had at least four innings. They are looking forward to the next session and nearly all children said they would like to play more cricket in the future!"
