At Starbeck School we aim to provide our children with memorable and powerful learning experiences and promote an ethos of self-belief, respect, resilience and high expectations for ourselves and others in everything we learn and achieve.
As an enhanced mainstream school for social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), we strive to provide an inclusive, caring and supportive environment in which pupils are valued equally and are given opportunities to develop and to reach aspirational targets
Bowling is the newest after school club to start at school. Eight year 3 and 4 children went to Starbeck Bowling Club to learn the skills of bowling, run by members of the club.
School held a Royal Wedding Day on Friday 18th May in preparation for Harry and Meghan's wedding.
Outstanding performances from the Djembe Drumming Group and Starbeck School Choir at the Harrogate Competative Festival.
Well done to Mrs Rowntree and the recorder group. They played with confidence at the Harrogate Competitive Festival and won their group! We are immensely proud of them all.
"This week saw the start of a brand new club for year 3 children - Crown Green Bowling. Our children learnt how to hold the weighted bowls, position themselves and throw and took part in some target practice. Great fun and we'll be back at the bowling green each week until the end of term. Thank you to Starbeck Bowling Club for playing their part in helping widen the range of sport provision and opportunities at Starbeck School."
